What are ‘Entities’?

Introduction

In Dynamics, an Entity is the name of a section of information.

What are the core entities?

The core entities are:

  • Accounts
  • Contacts
  • Leads
  • Opportunities
  • Countries

Further information on these can be found by clicking on the names in D365.

Crown Agent Entities

There are also the Crown Agent entities which include:

  • Users
  • Teams
  • Sites
  • Territories

When you are in the entity, anything that you either view, create or edit will be classed as a ‘record’.
