This is a course that compliments our Tips and Tricks for the End user book.
- Do you use Dynamics on a weekly / daily basis?
- Are you having trouble finding what you need?
- Would you like some pointers to make your day to day life easier?
If you have answered yes above then this may be your ideal next step. It doesn’t show you how to use Dynamics but instead it looks at some tips and tricks to make your day to day life easier and hopefully introduce you to functions you may not have made the best use of before.
Activities within Dynamics covers a lot of items. You can create in Dynamics a reminder for a key date or meeting that you need to attend. You can also use activities to record information such as phone calls or letters sent / received from the client.
Tasks, Phone Calls, Meetings and Appointments are all core activities that you can do against ALL items in D365. This allows you to create targeted information against each specific item / entity / record in D365.
The benefit of creating information here rather than in Outlook is that all users of Dynamics will be able to see the information and therefore have complete exposure to the current situation.
Views / Charts and Dashboards
Views allow you to see subsets of CRM data according to specific criteria that you can set e.g. Opportunities at a certain Status or where the topic / name contains a particular word.
A chart can be used alongside a view to give a graphical representation together with the data lines and Dashboards bring both Charts and views together in one place.
