What is the Micro Office Huddle?

The Micro Office Huddle is a group set up and ran by D365 Life Without Code; a technology company that is based in St Neots, Cambridgeshire. We created this group to provide a ‘think tank’ for micro businesses with a focus on all things Microsoft Office (and technology) related. Although we are not here to solve every issue, we aim to establish a community where users can collaborate and communicate their ideas and problems. In aid of this, our ‘huddles’ run both online and face to face in the local area.

The Micro Office Huddle

What are ‘huddles’?

Our huddles are currently FREE of charge and will act as our form of networking. Each session of our Micro Office Huddle will have a timed slot for introductions (with a difference), a technology focus delivered by anyone who is excited by something, the 404 for problems, and then time to wrap things up. As an organisation, we can help you with Office Licenses in addition to providing cost-effective training sessions. However, the objective of the huddles is to primarily provide a network space for small businesses.

Microsoft Office has a lot of functionality that people may not know about. So, we will hopefully be able to highlight some of these areas to help you get the most out of your Office License.

What to Expect

The concept of our Micro Office Huddles is to provide an area for members to network with one another whilst retaining a focus on technology.

Prior to the event, you will be required to send us a 1 page PowerPoint slide for your introduction, which will act as a digital business card. This is where we will all differ. If you are not sure how you can do this and would like some help, feel free to give us a call and we’ll talk you through the process some more.

Event plan:

Everyone will have 1-2 minutes to introduce themselves (unless the group becomes too large to allow for this). Your introduction should cover your name, your company, and a 10 second elevator pitch. You should mention what technology you can help people with and technology you may need additional support on.

Then, one speaker will have 5-10 minutes to talk about their ‘technology spotlight’. This is where you’ll be able to talk about an area of technology that you find interesting, including why you like it, the benefits of it and how it has changed the way that you work. Then there will be time to talk about your 404 roundup, which should cover any problems that you would like to raise to see if anyone is able to help you with.

After, volunteers for the next technology spotlight can be selected.

Post-event: We will distribute the PowerPoint slides to all attendees (unless specifically requested not to).

When will the Micro Office Huddle run?
