Butchers Software / Byte Sized Butchers

Byte Sized Butchers is our own custom built Butchers software solution for managing orders and suppliers.

This was designed in collaboration with Gilberts Family Butchers who are a store local to our head office in St Neots.

They wanted an easy to use database for their two shops that would allow them to input their customer orders for Christmas / New year and easily pull off a list of customer and supplier orders.

However our solution isn’t just for Christmas! It has year round usage with Easter orders, ad hoc orders and our very own meat club.

Byte Sized Butchers – Easy Order Management

Using PowerApps we created the Byte Size Butchers app. For a fixed monthly cost you get the following

  • Customer database (1gig in size)
  • Customer Relationship Management
  • Christmas / New year / Easter and Ad hoc orders
  • Meat club (savings club)
  • Multiple locations, including off-site availability (if required)

As a Microsoft product it is compatible with Word, Excel and Outlook so if you have an office licence you can further expand this app to easily create email invoices, collection notifications and much more.

Monthly costs

1 user = £40*per month

2 users = £50* per month

Your monthly cost includes your licences, storage and access to our monthly Byte Size Butchers training sessions (per user) and our Facebook hosted support group.

The monthly price will potentially provide you with everything you need. However if you need to expand the functionality these are the costs that you may need to consider.

Additional Cost Addons

  • Additional Users £10*per person per month
  • Multi locations £25* one off (if you don’t purchase the get started package
  • Additional Storage £30* per gig per month (You may need this if you start uploading images and documents)
  • Integrated email from £4* a month (you will need your own domain name purchased which we can advice on)
  • Microsoft Office Licence from £6* a month per user (allowing you to integrate spreadsheets / word documents)

To get everything up and running there is a one off cost of £450 plus vat which includes the following

  • Loading of all your stock items in to the database
  • a 1 hour get started training session
  • 1/2 hour reporting sessions (once you have started using it)
  • 1 hour of development work to change / add any of the features on your standard build to personalise it for you (you can also use this time to add in additional stores)

With a valid Microsoft office licence you can also

  • Export order lists to excel
  • Email customers automatically when orders are ready to be picked (£75 plus vat one off charge to set this up)
  • Use Word to generate invoices if required
