Byte Sized Butchers is our own custom built software solution for butchers to manage their orders and suppliers.

The system was designed in collaboration with a local butcher who wanted an easy-to-use database for both of their shops. They wanted a system that would allow them to input their customer orders for Christmas / New Year to generate their customer and supplier orders.

However our solution isn’t just for Christmas! It has year-round usage with Easter orders, Ad Hoc orders and our very own Meat Club.

Byte Sized Butchers – Easy Order Management

Using PowerApps, we created the Byte Size Butchers system. For a fixed monthly cost, you get the following:

  • Customer database (1gig in size)
  • Customer Relationship Management
  • Christmas / New year / Easter and Ad Hoc orders
  • Meat Club (savings club)
  • Multiple locations, including off-site availability (if required)

As a Microsoft product, it is compatible with Word, Excel and Outlook. This means that if you have an Office licence, you’ll have the ability to further expand your application to easily create email invoices, collection notifications and much more.

Costs for Byte Sized Butchers solution

Setup Cost

To get everything up and running, there is a one off cost of £452 plus VAT, which includes the following:

  • Importing templated stock items in to the database.
  • a 1 hour ‘Get Started’ training session.

Monthly Costs

1 user = £48* per month.

2 users = £58* per month.

Your monthly cost includes your licences, storage and access to our monthly Byte Size Butchers training sessions (per user) and our Facebook hosted support group.

The monthly price will potentially provide you with everything you need. However if you need to expand the functionality, you may need to consider the following:

Potential Additional Costs

  • Additional Users £10* per person, per month.
  • Multi locations £25* one off.
  • Additional Storage £30* per gig, per month (you may need this if you start uploading images and documents).
  • Integrated email from £4* a month (you will need your own domain name purchased, which we can advice on).
  • Microsoft Office Licence from £6* a month per user (allowing you to integrate spreadsheets / Word documents).

  • Multiple shops / locations (great if you have several sites or often attend markets).

  • Order History (quickly and easily replicate orders for regular customers).
  • Meat club details (promotions and discounts for your most loyal customers).
  • Fully GDPR compliant.
  • Orders for UK public holidays and Ad hoc dates (not just a Christmas solution).
  • Retail or Trade.
  • Order Status.
  • Supplier information (products and items are linked with suppliers so you can see your order status with them).
  • Full searching.
  • iPad, iPhone and Android apps (input your orders when you’re at a market or offline with our mobile app).
  • Browser compatible (Chrome, Safari, Edge etc.).

Have a valid Microsoft licence?

  • Export order lists to excel.
  • Email customers automatically when orders are ready to be collected (£75 plus VAT one off charge to set this up).
  • Use Word to generate invoices if required.

Your Facebook Community
