Sales processes in Dynamics

We believe that personal organisation is a key component to ensuring that tasks are being carried out effectively. Having the ability to easily find information can be just as important as initially recording the data! This is why we like to use Dynamics to aid our administrative work and approach to sales! At D365 Life Without Code, we don’t just walk the walk but we also talk the talk, using our systems on a daily basis!

Luca is our resident salesperson at D365 Life Without Code. He handles everything in the sales process, from reviewing leads, beginning conversations, organising the process, and completing the sale. He uses Dynamics throughout his sales process and is now very proficient in navigating the system. However, Luca used his first CRM system (Dynamics) just four months ago when he began his new role with us! Since then, he has gained a broad understanding of the system and now feels confident in his knowledge of it’s uses.

How could you use Dynamics for your sales?

‘This Day’ records

In our Dynamics environment, Claire has created what we call ‘This Day’ records. In essence, this is our working dashboard. A standard Dynamics dashboard gives you an overview of things that have happened in either a list or a chart. In addition, you can also see what needs to be done here, too. Our ‘This Day’ record has the same concept, but it actually allows you to do the work from that screen rather than navigate you to a different area in order to get going. For the existing Dynamics users, we do this using sub-grids and a custom table (entity) that links to the core records. It is a place in our Dynamics environment where we are able to structure / view our daily tasks. This is useful for not only seeing the highlights of each working day, but also to use to increase work performance in the future!

For sales, this is a particularly beneficial record. Dynamics keeps track of the admin whilst Luca focuses on each tasks at hand. Instead of spending time accumulating potential leads, contact information and ensuring they are okay to be contacted, Luca can continue with what he needs to do! Then, when it comes to checking productivity, Luca can see the amount of sales calls he has made in a day with a click of a button.

How else do we use Dynamics?

We use the timeline to log whatever activities we have had with our contacts. This allows us to ensure we are never duplicating the same correspondence to our connections! If you have a larger team of people or find yourself crossing wires with co-workers, this could be a great asset for keeping what needs to be completed in order! With the right licensing permissions, anyone with access will be able to view the updates as they come in, keeping you all on the same page!

Dynamics offers us a way of seeing our work and productivity in a couple of clicks. In this way, it not only complements the way that we work, but it allows us the visibility to see anything promised to our customers. One of the main things which Dynamics does is save us time. As a micro company, ourselves, this can be invaluable for ensuring we remain up-to-date with our competitors.

What are the benefits?

In addition to keeping your eye on all sales activity and tasks, one of the best things about Dynamics is that it ensures we remain GDPR compliant at all times. Entered data is safely stored and is even accessible when offline. This gives us one less thing to worry about when handling sensitive data! We believe that using Dynamics makes the customer journey even easier!
