Did you know Microsoft are helping organisations keep working during these days with the Corona Virus?
Did you know Microsoft are giving 6 months free licenses to help with remote working / self isolation?
No? Well I didn’t either until today.
If you are a Microsoft office business user then you may already know about Microsoft Teams. Also if you have attended and of my Wednesday Webinars I use teams to support it.
Today I saw the link below. Microsoft are offering a free 6-month licence for office E1. This licence will allow users to have the full version of Microsoft teams.
New in March 2020, a free 6-month Office 365 E1 Trial, including Microsoft Teams, is now available. Microsoft is making this special E1 Trial license available in response to the increased need for employees to work from home (WFH) in response to the COVID-19 (coronavirus) outbreak.
To learn what’s available with an E1 license, read Office 365 E1.
Don’t miss all of our guidance for supporting remote workers with Teams.
You can find full information here https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/microsoftteams/e1-trial-license/
What this means for you is that you can schedule all your online meetings via teams. In a session you can talk, video, share files, share screens and use a virtual whiteboard. It doesn’t matter whether your recipients to the meeting have teams installed or teams licence because they can join by the web.
If you are suddenly working from home and not set up with company phones teams also allows you to ‘call’ your colleagues and talk via your computer thus saving phone call cost and expense claims to get them back 🙂
I hop you enjoy the free offer from Microsoft. Let me know if it worked for you. Also remember Teams integrates with D365 so if you would like to talk to me about that please do 🙂
